About the End of Season Sale template
This end of season sale catalog makes the markdown itself the picture. On the front cover, three crossed-out prices grow larger down the page beside a taped-on dog photo until the final price lands in orange, under a stacked END OF SEASON SALE headline. The poster cover is a round FINAL MARKDOWN stamp. Arvo slab headlines, Cabin text and Courier Prime labels sit on warm cream pages with a slate-blue band, and product pages use dashed shipping-label cards on white.
It gives trade customers one clear message: this is the last chance on these lines. The welcome note explains what is being discontinued, the event page marks when final markdowns go live and the last restock of core lines, and the terms page states shelf life on consumables. Pull the discontinued items in by Shopify collection or CSV file, show compare-at and sale prices on every card, and send a wholesale flipbook link or a printed copy to your stockists.

- Seasonal ranges that will not return, sold to stockists at a final markdown
- Wholesalers separating discontinued lines from core lines that continue
- Treats and other consumables sold with their shelf life stated
- Order-value bonuses that raise the size of each clearance order
Pages worth a closer look

A markdown ladder on the cover
Three struck-through prices step down the page, each larger than the one before, until the final price appears in orange. The whole sale is told in four numbers. Replace them with your own sequence of markdowns.

Was, first markdown and now in one panel
Under a wide product photo, a dark price panel shows the original trade price, the first markdown and the final price, next to the SKU, case pack and cases in stock. Four more discontinued products line up under Also clearing.

Final markdowns and the last restock, dated
Three dates mark the close of the season: final markdowns go live, core lines get their last restock, and the season ends at midnight. Buyers can plan one combined order of continuing and discontinued lines.

Terms that state shelf life up front
The first term promises sealed, boxed stock and at least six months of shelf life on treats, followed by minimums, payment, freight and collection. Put your own shelf-life floor here, because buyers of consumables check it before anything else.
How to run an end of season sale for trade customers
Split discontinued lines from continuing ones
Retailers hesitate to shelve an item they can never reorder. Mark clearly which products are discontinued and which core lines continue at full price, so buyers can take the clearance lines for a one-off promotion and keep reordering the rest from you.
Give best-before dates on consumables
Treats, food and other consumables need a stated shelf life before a retailer will take them on clearance. Give the best-before month or the minimum months remaining for each lot, and put short-dated stock in its own lot at a lower price instead of mixing it in.
Plan the markdown sequence before you print
A first markdown followed by a deeper final one clears stock in two waves without giving everything away on the first day. Fix the dates and percentages in advance, show both on the featured product, and make clear that the deeper price comes with less choice.
Help retailers make room
Stores take clearance lines more readily when they come with a plan to sell them through. Offer ready-made promotion packs, shelf talkers or a simple display suggestion, and consider crediting a retailer's slow older stock against their new-season order.
Use an order threshold, not only a percentage
An extra discount on orders over a set value, like the sample's 5% off orders above $800, raises order size without cutting the price of every unit again. Set the threshold a little above your typical clearance order so most buyers add a lot or two to reach it.

Questions about this template
Can I use the end of season sale template for summer or winter collections?
Yes. The sample dates fall in January, but the dates, headline, sections and products are all editable, so the same pages work at the end of summer, winter or any season you close. Replace the pet photos with your own, recolor the palette if your brand calls for it, and import the lines you are discontinuing.
How do I show was and now prices on the product pages?
Product pages can show the compare-at price next to the current price. If your Shopify products already carry compare-at prices, they come across with the import and stay current through Sync. You can also apply a percentage or fixed discount across the catalog with the Discount & Tax tool instead of editing prices one by one.
When do end of season sales usually happen?
Just before new-season stock arrives: January and February for holiday and winter lines, July and August for spring and summer ranges. Retailers place new-season orders months ahead, so a supplier's end of season sale often lands while buyers are already planning the next season and looking for gaps to fill.
How do you choose which products to discontinue at the end of a season?
Look at sell-through, margin and reorder rate for each line over the season. Lines that sold slowly, needed constant discounting or duplicate a stronger seller are the usual candidates. Say why they are going in the catalog: buyers trust a clearance more when it is clearly about range changes rather than faulty stock.
