About this template

About the Garden Catalog template

This garden catalog template feels like a potting-shed notebook: cream pages, deep green ink, terracotta accents and a sprout motif, with Alegreya serif headings, Cabin for details and handwritten Kalam touches. The front cover works like a seed packet, listing the product count, a sow-by order date, a February to May ship window and the minimum order. A band cover, a “Sow early.” poster cover and a pot size guide keep the same look.

Garden retail runs on early orders, and the pages follow that calendar: an order-by date, a 10% early-spring deal, and terms covering freight, damages and nesting pots. Import your range from Shopify by collection or upload a CSV, keep sections for watering, pots, seeds, gloves and houseplants, and products drop onto white pages with photos, SKUs and prices. Share the flipbook in late fall and print the PDF for winter buying shows.

Pages worth a closer look

Garden Catalog — Front cover page

Seed-packet cover with order and ship dates

The front cover reads like a seed packet: product count, an order-by date of January 31, a February to May shipping window and a $300 minimum. Buyers planning spring floor space see your deadlines first, and you can rewrite each line for your own season.

Garden Catalog — Featured Product page

Hero watering can with case pack and colors

A galvanized two-gallon can leads the feature page in a large photo, with wholesale price beside suggested retail, three detail callouts (brass rose, balanced handle, three sizes), a case pack of four and three colorways. Give this spot to the product that anchors your spring orders.

Garden Catalog — Size / Spec Guide page

Pot size guide from mini to patio

A five-row table gives pot diameter, height, case quantity and wholesale price from a 3-inch mini to an 18-inch patio pot, with notes on frost resistance, nesting and saucers. Buyers can plan a full size run without a phone call.

Garden Catalog — Promo / Sale page

Early-spring order deal

The promo page rewards early commitment with 10% off spring orders confirmed by January 31 and free freight over $800. Change the dates and threshold, or reuse the page to announce a pre-season price freeze.

Tips

What garden centers look for in a spring wholesale catalog

Stagger spring deliveries

Garden centers have little back-room space in early spring. Offer two or three delivery drops, for example February for seeds and indoor items and April for patio pots, so stock arrives as it starts to sell and the shop is not paying for goods months before they move.

List full size runs for pots and planters

Buyers plan pots in families: one style in three to five sizes, with matching saucers. Give diameter and height for every size, say whether pots nest to save freight, and state frost tolerance for anything sold for outdoor use.

Give staff the facts behind each tool

Gardeners pay more for tools that last, so give shop staff something to sell on: galvanized or powder-coated steel, ash or beech handles, stainless or carbon blades, and the warranty length. Short detail callouts work better than long paragraphs on a busy shop floor.

Bundle small items for the register

Seed kits, gloves and small indoor cans sell near the register and as gifts. Offer them in small mixed cases, show a ready-made display bundle, and keep suggested retail under a gift-friendly price so shoppers add one without thinking twice.

Explain what is in each growing kit

More gardeners now ask for peat-free compost and clear instructions. List what each kit contains, days to germination, and whether it suits a windowsill or a raised bed, so garden center staff can match the right kit to a beginner or a gift buyer.

FAQ

Questions about this template

Can the garden catalog show pre-order deadlines and ship windows?

Yes. The order-by date, ship window and minimum order on the cover are editable text, and the welcome and promo pages repeat the January 31 cutoff. In the wholesale flipbook, the order form can enforce a minimum order value and case multiples, so spring pre-orders come in complete.

Can one product show several pot sizes or can colors?

Yes. Variants can be shown as a variant table that lays out sizes against colors, so a ribbed pot in five sizes or a watering can in zinc, sage and olive stays on one listing instead of filling a page each.

When do garden centers place spring orders?

Most commit between October and January, often to secure early-order discounts, with deliveries spread from February to May. Top-up orders follow in April and May once the weather warms. A catalog that arrives after January can miss the main buying window.

What makes a garden product easy for a garden center to stock?

Packaging that sells without staff help, sturdy case packs that arrive unbroken, and a size or color range a shop can display as a block. Suggested retail prices, barcodes on every unit and simple care instructions also help a product earn its shelf space.
