About this template

About the Product Launch template

This product launch catalog template treats a new product like a premiere. The front cover says Introducing above the product name, with purple spotlights falling on an empty stage and three dates along the bottom: launch day, the pre-order window and the ship-to-store date. Pages are violet black with lavender-white type and a soft lavender accent, Montserrat headlines and Work Sans text. A band cover sets the name vertically beside a display plinth, and a poster cover frames the product in brackets.

Use it as the launch kit you send to retail partners: why the product matters, what it costs them, when it arrives and what support they get. Import the new line and its accessories, and each item lands on a dark product page with photo, a spec line, SKU and trade price; add the barcode field, or MSRP from a Shopify metafield or the description. Share the wholesale flipbook so stores pre-order from the page, and print a short PDF for sales calls, buyer meetings and launch events.

Best for

  • Consumer brands launching a hero product through independent retailers
  • Pre-order windows with a cut-off, a ship-to-store date and a public launch
  • Launch partner programs with displays, demo units and co-op marketing
  • Accessory line-ups that should be ordered together with the new product
  • Sales reps presenting a new product at trade shows and store visits

Road-to-launch timeline

Four dates take partners from pre-orders opening on Feb 20 through the Mar 10 cut-off and Mar 11 delivery to the Mar 18 public launch, when the embargo lifts. Stores see why ordering early matters: stock and displays arrive a week before customers come asking.

Launch partner benefits in one list

The partner page spells out what early commitment earns: an extra 10% off trade, first allocation, a lit counter display, demo units at cost and a co-op marketing budget, with one code to quote on the order. Edit the list to match your own launch plan.

Hero product spec page

The new product gets a full page with trade price, MSRP, case pack and minimum order, plus five spec cells for battery, noise cancelling, weight, charging and colors. It works as a sell sheet a store buyer can pass to their team before the meeting.

Partner pricing table

The line-up table lists each SKU with case pack, MSRP and partner price, including a counter display that comes free with 12 or more units. A buyer can plan a full launch order, accessories included, in one pass.

Tips

What a product launch catalog needs

Publish the four dates in one place

Retailers plan around four dates: pre-orders open, pre-order cut-off, delivery to stores and the public launch. Put them on one timeline page and on the cover. If there is an embargo, state plainly that stock must not go on sale before launch day, and what happens if a partner breaks it.

Ship before the launch, not on it

Stock that arrives on launch day misses the launch. Aim to land product, displays and demo units with partners about a week early, so staff can unbox, learn the product and set up the display. Build that week into your production schedule before you publish any dates.

Give store staff three talking points

Sales staff will explain your product dozens of times in the first weeks. Pick three facts customers care about, such as battery life, noise cancelling and how small it folds, and repeat them on the hero page, the poster cover and the display. Consistent talking points outsell a long spec list.

Sell the accessories with it

Customers buying a new product are most likely to add a cable, case or charger at the same moment. Include accessories in the launch catalog with case packs scaled to the hero product's expected sales, and price them with healthy retail margins. It raises the value of every launch order.

Make the early reward clear and limited

A launch partner program works when the reward is easy to understand and has a deadline: first allocation, an extra discount, free displays or co-op marketing for orders placed before the cut-off. State the conditions, such as minimum units, so stores can decide in one conversation.

FAQ

Questions about this template

What pages are in the product launch catalog template?

Three covers (an Introducing cover with launch dates, a vertical band cover and a poster) and 12 campaign pages: welcome letter, accessories divider, hero product, launch line-up, launch partner offer, how to order, trade terms, contact, a framed blank page, back cover, launch timeline and a partner pricing table. Product pages follow in the same violet-black style.

Can stores pre-order a new product from the catalog?

Yes. Share it as a wholesale flipbook and buyers use the built-in order form before the stock exists. Set a minimum quantity per product, require multiples of the case pack and add up to three volume price tiers for larger orders. Orders arrive by email and in the app, ready to check against your first production run.

How far ahead should a launch catalog go to retailers?

Send it at least four to eight weeks before launch, and earlier for larger chains that buy on fixed calendars. That leaves time for pre-orders, production planning, delivery and staff training. Independent stores can decide faster, but they still need stock in hand about a week before launch day to be ready.

What should a new product sell sheet include?

The product name and a one-line promise, three key benefits, specs, photos, SKU and barcode, case pack, trade price, MSRP and the launch date. Add minimum order quantities and any partner incentives. Keep it to one page per product so a buyer can share it internally, and put the order deadline where nobody can miss it.
