About the Handmade & Craft template
This handmade catalog template feels like a maker's scrapbook. Dashed stitch lines border the cover and outline the boxes inside, photos are held with washi tape and finished with a torn paper edge, a kraft gift tag carries the season, and a round stamp marks the year the studio opened. Alegreya headlines, Karla text and handwritten notes in Kalam sit on oat paper with rust and navy accents. Seven cover designs lead into 20 designed pages, plus designed product pages and mosaic layouts.
It suits makers who sell both to shops and direct. Stockist pages cover wholesale minimums, lead times for stock and made-to-order pieces, and care advice shops can pass on, while the market promo, workshop invitation and maker profiles speak to shoppers. Swap the sample studio's mugs, soap and spoons for your own pieces with Replace photo, import products from Shopify or a CSV file, and share the catalog as a flipbook or print it for markets.

Pages worth a closer look

Meet the makers
Each maker gets a monogram, a name, their craft and one line about how they work, such as throwing sixty mugs a day. Stockists can repeat these small stories at the counter, which is how handmade goods are sold.

Ordering steps for new stockists
Four friendly steps explain how new stockists get the wholesale list, how one-off pieces are marked, how long stock and made-to-order pieces take and how orders arrive, with the first-order and reorder minimums in a band below. Honest lead times are what small shops need most from a maker.

Sizes, sets and burn times
Cup capacities from espresso to big mug, dimensions for tea towels, runners, throws and wall hangings, and candle burn times share one page, with a note that handmade sizes vary by a few millimeters.

Caring for handmade
Care advice is grouped by material: stoneware that is dishwasher and microwave safe except luster glazes, wool and linen that should be washed cool and dried flat, and wood that wants hand washing and the occasional oiling.
How to present handmade products in a catalog
Explain why each piece varies
Glaze pooling, wool from different batches and wood grain mean no two pieces match. Say so once, warmly, near the front and again in the FAQ, and photograph a few pieces side by side. Buyers accept variation they were told about and return what surprised them.
Give realistic lead times
Small studios sell out. State lead times for stock and for made-to-order pieces separately, mark one-off pieces, and tell stockists when to order for the holidays. A shop that receives its order on time comes back; one kept waiting for weeks may not.
Show capacity and size in use
A mug's capacity in milliliters or ounces, a throw's dimensions, a candle's burn time: these details sell handmade goods online and in shops. Photograph pieces in hands or on a table for scale, not only against a plain backdrop.
Price for wholesale from the start
Shops typically double a wholesale price to reach retail, so set wholesale and suggested retail together and show both. If a piece only works at its retail price, sell it direct at markets and online rather than through stockists.
Tell the maker story briefly
Customers buy handmade for the people behind it. A short studio story and a page of makers with one line each give stockists something to say. Keep it specific, with real names and real habits, rather than general claims about quality.

Questions about this template
What comes with the Handmade & Craft design kit?
Seven cover designs, including a magazine cover, a sticker-style cover and a framed cover, and 20 designed pages: welcome, contents, chapter divider, lookbook, featured product, story, makers, how to order, best sellers, market promo, stats, workshop invitation, stockist quotes, FAQ, size guide, care, contact postcard, terms, notes and a thank-you back cover. Designed product pages and mosaic layouts for your mugs, throws and soap are part of the kit.
Can I use this template for both wholesale and retail customers?
Yes. Keep the stockist pages and share a wholesale flipbook with its built-in order form, or remove them and share a retail flipbook of your handmade pieces that checks out at your Shopify store. The Discount & Tax tool can turn retail prices into trade prices for stockists without editing each handmade piece.
What should a handmade wholesale catalog include?
Wholesale and suggested retail prices, minimum order, pack sizes, lead times for stock and made-to-order pieces, payment and delivery terms, and clear photos with sizes. Add care information and a short maker story, because shops need both to sell handmade goods to their own customers.
How many products should a handmade catalog feature?
For a small studio, a few dozen well-photographed pieces usually say more than every item ever made. Lead each section with a featured piece or a mosaic of best sellers, then use grid pages for colorways and sizes, and retire slow pieces instead of letting them fill pages.
