About this template

About the Retailer Catalog template

This retailer catalog template has the friendly look of a lifestyle magazine. A full-bleed photo of hands arranging stone bowls fills the cover, with a white panel for the title, a one-line promise and the terms, and a raspberry sticker announcing a free display kit. Poppins headlines and Nunito Sans text sit on a blush-white page, and the same pink marks prices, section numbers and tips. Inside, a merchandising page sits alongside the wholesale range.

Use it to recruit independent shops and keep them reordering. Connect Shopify or WooCommerce, or upload a CSV, and the range lands on white grid pages at wholesale prices, with Shopify Sync keeping prices and photos current between editions. Share a wholesale flipbook with an order form and a minimum order value, print its QR code on postcards for trade shows, and send the PDF with first orders so shop staff can set up displays.

Display ideas that sell

A merchandising page passes on four tips from top stockists, from grouping stock by color to keeping new lines at eye level and refreshing a table every two weeks, set below photos of a shop interior, painted mugs and handmade soap. It turns the catalog into a sales tool for the store.

Retailer Catalog — Promo / Sale page

New stockist kit

An opening-order offer adds a free display kit at one order value, testers at the next and risers at the third, lists what the kit contains and gives a code to quote. A hesitant shop gets a concrete reason to place a larger first order.

Retailer Catalog — By the Numbers page

Numbers a shop owner cares about

The at-a-glance page speaks a shop owner's language: stockist count, average reorder cycle, markup at MSRP, sell-through in sixty days, the free display kit and the reorder minimum. Reorder rhythm and sell-through bear directly on a buyer's cash flow, so use your own data.

A sticker that sells the offer

The cover's raspberry sticker promises a free display kit, and the white panel states opening order, payment terms and dispatch time in one line. A buyer leafing through a pile of catalogs sees the offer and the terms at once.

Tips

How to write a catalog independent shops reorder from

Teach the display

Small stores rarely have a visual merchandiser, and products sell better when they are displayed well. Share simple rules: group by color, show items in threes at different heights, keep best sellers at eye level and refresh a display every couple of weeks. Photos of real stockist displays help.

Reward the opening order

A first order is a risk for a shop. Lower it with a modest opening minimum, a display kit or testers above a set value, and clear terms for damaged goods. Tie extras to order value so their cost scales with the order.

Publish a reorder rhythm

Tell shops how often your strongest stockists reorder and what a typical reorder contains. A suggested cycle, such as every eight to ten weeks, helps a buyer plan cash flow and avoid empty shelves between deliveries.

Make testers part of the range

For candles, soaps and fragrance, testers let shoppers smell before they buy. List testers as their own SKUs with prices, or say when they come free, so shops can order them alongside stock instead of asking separately.

Encourage shops to share

Ask stockists to share photos of their displays and feature the strongest ones in your catalog or newsletter. It rewards the shop, gives other stores ideas and provides you with real, local photography for the next edition.

FAQ

Questions about this template

Who is the Retailer Catalog template written for?

For makers and brands that sell wholesale to independent shops. The sample copy talks directly to the store owner: the range at wholesale, a display guide, an opening-order offer, terms and contacts. Replace the handmade home goods with your own products and the structure works just as well for gifts, beauty, food or accessories.

Is the Retailer Catalog template free to use?

Yes, within the Free plan's limits. All templates come with all plans, so you can open this one without paying or adding a card. On Free, a Shopify store gets one grid-editor catalog plus one Basic-editor catalog, while an account without Shopify gets a single catalog of up to five pages; Free catalogs carry a small watermark. Basic, the first paid plan, costs $19.99 a month.

What makes independent shops reorder from a supplier?

Products that sell through, reliable delivery and easy reordering come first. Shops also value a fair markup, usually keystone or better, low reorder minimums, and help with display and product knowledge. A catalog that answers these points up front saves both sides calls and emails.

What is sell-through rate?

Sell-through is the share of stock a store sells in a period, such as 60 days. If a shop receives 100 candles and sells 68, sell-through is 68 percent. Suppliers quote it to show that a line moves, and buyers use it to decide what to reorder.
