About the Marine & Boating Premium template
Nautical charts are the starting point for this marine supply catalog template. Covers carry depth soundings, compass bearings and a course line, the contents page is drawn as a passage plan in five legs, and the section divider gives coordinates and a pointer to the size guide. Spinnaker headlines and Cabin text sit on sandy cream with deep sea-teal and a raspberry accent, and the product pages are tinted to match. Sample copy speaks for a fictional Rhode Island rope and hardware wharf.
Use it to publish a season catalog that chandlery buyers can order from line by line. Bring in dock lines, shackles, anchors and safety gear from Shopify or a product feed, and each lands on a tinted product page with photo, SKU, type, name, a short spec line and trade price. For boat shows, export a print-ready PDF with crop marks; for trade accounts, put the wholesale flipbook behind a password so only approved buyers see prices and order online.

Pages worth a closer look

Rode and anchor chart by boat length
A size guide pairs boat length bands with anchor weight, chain size, nylon rode length and dock line diameter, and illustrates the seven-to-one scope rule for rode against depth. Counter staff can size a customer's ground tackle quickly.

Passage-plan contents page
Contents are laid out as a passage plan: five legs from line and rigging to safety aboard, plotted with compass bearings, each with a short list of what it holds and a page number. It turns a plain index into a page buyers actually read.

Early order program with dating
The promo page offers a spring early-order discount with a January booking deadline, delivery before mid-March, freight paid above an order value and net 60 dating. Edit the figures and it becomes your preseason booking sheet.

Rinse-and-coil care page
Four habits against salt and sun, starting with a fresh-water rinse after every sail, are written for stockists to pass on to boat owners. Advice like this keeps gear in service longer and brings customers back for the right reasons.
What chandlery buyers look for in a marine catalog
Give load data for every piece of hardware
For shackles, blocks, cleats and snap hooks, list material, size, working load limit and breaking strength, and name the grade of stainless steel or the galvanizing used. Boatyards size hardware from these numbers, and a missing figure usually means a phone call instead of an order.
Sell rope by diameter, construction and put-up
Describe each line by diameter, construction such as double braid or three-strand, fiber and color, then by put-up: precut lengths with spliced eyes, full reels or cut to order. Add the price per foot for reel goods so a chandlery can quote a customer on the spot.
Size ground tackle by boat length
Boat owners rarely know which anchor they need, but they know their boat. A chart matching boat length to anchor weight, chain and rode, with the usual seven-to-one scope rule, lets a chandlery sell a complete anchoring set instead of a single anchor.
Book spring stock over the winter
Chandleries and yards fill their shelves for spring commissioning, so marine suppliers often run early-order programs that close in mid-winter. Offer freight terms or payment dating that falls after launch season begins, and print the booking deadline on the cover or promo page.

Questions about this template
What pages are in the Marine & Boating Premium template?
There are 27. Seven covers come first, including a nautical-chart frame and a trade quarterly. The other 20 pages run from a welcome from the dock and a passage-plan contents page to a ground tackle size guide, a rinse-and-coil care page, crew profiles, an open-house invite, trade terms and a back cover. Products then appear on pale aqua cards under a deep teal section header.
Can I show trade price and MSRP on the same product page?
Yes, but not through the compare-at field, which prints struck through like a markdown. Keep the MSRP as the price and show the trade price as a discount price with the Discount & Tax tool, or print an MSRP stored in a Shopify metafield or written into the description. You can add SKU, barcode, variants such as line diameter or length, and a QR code linking to the product online.
How often should a marine supplier refresh its trade catalog?
Many marine suppliers publish a main edition before spring commissioning and a smaller update in late summer for haul-out and winterizing products. If your products live in Shopify, Sync refreshes prices, stock and photos in the catalog, so each new edition starts from current data.
How should a chandlery catalog organize thousands of SKUs?
Group products the way boat owners shop: line and rigging, deck hardware, anchoring and mooring, safety, maintenance. Inside each section, sort by size. Put small parts such as shackles and snaps on dense 4×5 grids so many sizes fit on a page with SKU and price, and save one-column line-sheet rows for lines that need a longer spec.
