About the School Supplies Premium template
This school supplies catalog template looks like a well-kept notebook: ruled lines, margin rules, color-coded sections and handwritten notes in Kalam. Real photos of pencils, crayons, notebooks and highlighters sit on clean white paper with a coral red accent and pale blue panels, under Arvo slab headlines and Cabin text. Seven covers, from a sticker cover to a 'Class Pack Issue' magazine cover, lead into 20 designed pages that keep the same tidy look.
The sample copy, for a fictional Michigan school supply company, is written for stationers, bookstores, campus shops and PTA stores. It covers case packs of 12 to 48, inner packs, an early-order discount and a July ship window. Bring in your SKUs from Shopify or a CSV file, and each lands on a product card with its SKU, category, name, a short pack note and the pack price; a barcode field can be added. Print the PDF for spring buying meetings, or share a wholesale flipbook where stores order in case multiples.

Pages worth a closer look

School list by grade
A table lists everyday items such as pencils, crayons, glue sticks and scissors, with quantities per student for kindergarten, grades 1–2, 3–5 and 6–8, plus the SKU for each. Stores use it to stock the right mix and build school-list bundles.

Early-order program page
An early-order discount with a cut-off date, an order code, a free-freight threshold and a July ship window. It nudges stores to commit in spring, so you can plan stock and freight well before the August rush.

Best-seller spec page
The top pencil gets a full page: pack and case quantities, SKU, price and a spec strip covering grade, barrel shape, eraser and length. Reuse the layout for any staple item that buyers reorder by the case.

Buyers' preview invitation styled as a hall pass
A hall-pass ticket invites trade buyers to a spring preview with dates, hours and place, plus early-order pricing and help building class-pack kits. It turns an open showroom day into a list of booked buying appointments.
How to plan a school supplies catalog for the back-to-school rush
Work back from the August peak
Much of the year's school supply business lands in July and August, so stores plan their orders in late winter and spring. Get the catalog out by early spring, close early orders in May, ship in July and keep a reorder sheet ready for the rush weeks.
Price by pack and show the case
Stores buy pencils by the box and boxes by the case. Show the price per pack, the units in each pack, the case quantity and any inner pack, so a buyer can tell exactly what arrives and what each unit costs.
Build bundles from real school lists
Teachers send home supply lists by grade. Pre-packed class or grade bundles, with the list printed on the box, let stores and PTAs sell a whole list in one transaction. Show what is inside each bundle and the grade it matches.
Add storage notes for crayons, paper and glue
Wax crayons soften in heat, paper curls in humidity and glue thickens with age. A short storage page helps stores keep summer stock in good condition, and shows you understand what their stockroom looks like in July.

Questions about this template
What is in the school supplies catalog template?
Seven covers, then 20 pages that follow a buyer's path: a welcome and contents, a color lookbook, the featured best seller and a best-sellers page, the school list by grade, an early-order promo and a buyers' preview invitation, then brand story, team, numbers and testimonials, and finally how to order, FAQ, storage notes, contact, terms, a notes page, a section divider and a back cover.
Can I use the school supplies template to sell to parents?
Yes. Rewrite the trade copy for families, switch to retail prices and publish it as a showcase flipbook or, on Shopify, a retail flipbook with checkout. The school list by grade works well for families too: turn it into a shopping checklist with your own product codes.
When should school supply wholesalers send their catalog?
Aim to have catalogs with buyers between January and March. Stores and PTAs settle back-to-school orders in spring, many with early-order discounts that end in May, and expect delivery in July. A smaller reorder catalog in late July covers the rush.
How should a school supply catalog list case packs?
Give each SKU its unit or pack contents, the number of packs per case, the price per pack and, if you offer them, inner packs for smaller stores. Keep case details on the same line as the price; buyers should never need a separate sheet to work out an order.
