About this template

About the Back to School template

This back to school catalog template opens like a school notebook. The front cover is a lined, hole-punched page on sunny yellow, with a backpack photo, a handwritten “ready, set,” in Kalam and the title in heavy Chivo. A cobalt poster cover spells out “Write. Draw. Learn.” in red, yellow and green, and a third cover runs section pills under a photo of pencils, glue and sticky notes. Inside, tomato red, butter yellow, green and cobalt tiles, star bullets and starburst badges keep every page cheerful.

The sample copy, written for a made-up school supply brand, shows how to sell in early: a May 31 early-bird code, a June 15 order date and a July delivery window, so shelves fill before the August shopping peak. The pack guide sets unit, case, wholesale price and MSRP side by side. Import your range and it fills white grids under a yellow header, with SKUs and red price tags. Share it as a wholesale flipbook with a built-in order form, or print it for sales reps and trade shows.

Highlights

Pages worth a closer look

Back to School — Size / Spec Guide page

Pack guide with case sizes and MSRP

A table with a red header lists each line by unit, case quantity, wholesale price and MSRP, from 4-packs of gel pens to single backpacks, so buyers can see their margin at a glance. Under it, a stocking tip suggests a full-list bundle priced for parents.

Back to School — How to Order page

Order in 4 steps, timed for July delivery

Four bold tiles in red, yellow, green and cobalt take a buyer from building a list by SKU to the June 15 order date, July packing and mid-term top-ups. A strip underneath repeats the $250 minimum, cases of 4, 12 or 24 and the shipping time.

Back to School — Promo / Sale page

Early-bird offer on a yellow starburst

A red page carries a big 15% starburst for orders placed before May 31, with a free counter display for every three cases and a code in a white pill. It gives buyers a reason to commit months before the school year starts.

Back to School — Cover · poster page

“Write. Draw. Learn.” poster cover

The boldest of the three covers sets three words in giant red, yellow and green letters on cobalt, with a round photo of a backpack spilling scissors and pencils. The big type still reads as a small thumbnail when you share the flipbook link.

Tips

What school supply buyers need to see before they order

Make every case counter-ready

Stores are short on staff and shelf space in July, so cases that open straight into a display are easier to sell than loose stock. Say whether a case has a printed display lid, give its footprint in inches, and note mixed or single-color contents, as the pack guide here does.

Organize by the school supply list

Parents shop from the lists teachers send home, so group products the way those lists read: pencils, glue sticks, folders, wide-ruled and college-ruled paper, scissors, rulers. A one-of-everything bundle by grade, like the full-list tip on the pack guide, helps a store sell the whole list at once.

List the specs teachers and parents ask about

For notebooks give size, page count, ruling and paper weight; for pens, tip size and ink type; for backpacks, dimensions, capacity and whether a laptop sleeve fits. Note age grading and non-toxic labeling on art supplies, and show round-tip scissors for younger grades apart from pointed ones.

Show MSRP next to the wholesale price

Independent stationers usually look for at least double their cost at retail, and often more on small impulse items. Printing the suggested retail price beside the wholesale price, as the pack guide does for a gel pen 4-pack at $3.60 and $8.50, lets a buyer judge margin without a spreadsheet.

Plan for the second wave in September

Back-to-school sales do not end on the first day of class. Teachers restock in September, older students buy once they know their schedules, and paper and pens run low by October. Offer fast reorders on core lines and send a short reminder catalog in late August.

FAQ

Questions about this template

What pages does the Back to School template include?

Fifteen designed pages: three covers (the notebook page, a photo band and the “Write. Draw. Learn.” poster), a welcome letter, a section divider, a featured product, a Class Favorites page ranking four items, an early-bird promo, how to order, terms, contact, a pack guide, an FAQ page, a framed blank page and a back cover. Your product pages follow in the same style.

Can stores order school supplies by the case from the flipbook?

Yes. Share it as a wholesale flipbook with the built-in order form, then set minimum, multiple or maximum quantities so gel pens sell in cases of 12 and scissors in 24. Add a minimum order value, up to three volume price tiers and percentage or fixed discounts. Each stockist case order arrives by email and in the app.

When should a back-to-school wholesale catalog go out?

Aim for February to April. Independent stores set their back-to-school buy in spring and want stock on shelves by mid-July, because some districts start classes in early August and shopping peaks in the weeks before. Follow up in June with a reminder of your order date, then switch to reorder messages in August.

How many school supply products should fit on one catalog page?

Match the grid to the item. Small fillers such as erasers, rulers and sticky notes fit a 4×5 grid, notebooks and pens a 3×3 grid like the preview, and backpacks a 2×2 grid or the featured product page. For long price lists, use 1-column line-sheet rows with SKU, price and a short description.
