About the Up to 50% Off template
This half price sale catalog template splits its front cover in two: a block of bright red where a huge white 50% and a black OFF sit in condensed Open Sans, and below it a soft gray still life of ochre bottle vases with a black up-to-half-price badge. How to run a half price sale without cheapening your brand
Explain why it's half price
A clear reason, such as making room for a new collection, discontinued glazes or last season's prints, stops a 50% cut from looking like your normal price. Put the reason on the welcome page and in the cover line, where every buyer reads it.
Keep it short and final
Deep discounts work with a firm window and final-sale terms. Three or four weeks is plenty. Running a half price sale every quarter teaches stockists to wait for it, so hold it once a year or when a collection genuinely ends.
Choose carefully what goes in
Include discontinued and overstocked lines rather than current best sellers. If a few popular pieces go in to draw attention, cap the quantity per stockist so one buyer can't take the lot; the wholesale flipbook can enforce a maximum quantity per line.
Always show the original price
Print the original trade price beside the sale price on every line, not only on the cover. Half price means something only when buyers can check what it was, and it helps them set a fair retail price for their own customers.
