About this template

About the Chocolate & Confectionery template

This chocolate catalog template is bold and a little retro, with Shrikhand lettering, Nunito Sans text and Copse serif details: cocoa brown type on soft white with raspberry pink and pistachio green accents. A chocolate-mold motif shapes the layouts, and real photography shows bars, bark and bonbon boxes. Seven covers run from a 72% cacao front page to a Pour, Snap, Melt poster, and twenty designed pages include a cacao ladder, a storage page that protects the temper and a holiday pre-order promotion.

Bean-to-bar makers, chocolatiers and confectioners can use it to win stockists and corporate gifting orders. Bars, bonbon boxes, drinking chocolate and tasting flights each have a chapter, and products imported from Shopify or a CSV appear in pistachio-green cards with SKU, type, weight, case pack and unit price; cacao details can come from descriptions or, for Shopify imports, metafields. Send the wholesale flipbook with case multiples and a minimum order value, and print a CMYK copy for gift fairs and buyer meetings.

Best for

  • Bean-to-bar makers selling single-origin bars to delis and gift shops
  • Chocolatiers offering bonbon boxes by the case with a short shelf life
  • Confectioners taking seasonal pre-orders for the holidays and Valentine's Day
  • Corporate gift programs with set box sizes and order minimums
  • Chocolate shops publishing a retail gift catalog for the holiday season
Highlights

Pages worth a closer look

Chocolate & Confectionery — Size / Spec Guide page

Cacao ladder and origin table

A step chart runs from 85% dark down to 45% milk with a one-line taste description for each, beside a flavor wheel and above an origin table with tasting notes and SKUs. Buyers learn your range in a minute and shoppers find their level.

Chocolate & Confectionery — Care Instructions page

Storage rules that keep the temper

Four rule cards cover 60 to 65 °F storage, humidity under 55%, darkness and sealing away from strong smells, each with the reason, and an About bloom panel explains the gray film. The page works as a counter card too.

Chocolate & Confectionery — Featured Product page

Featured bar with margin math

One bar gets a full page: cacao percentage, weight, case size, shelf life, SKU, wholesale unit price, MSRP and the retail margin they create, beside tasting notes and the origin story. It answers a buyer's first three questions at once.

Chocolate & Confectionery — Promo / Sale page

Holiday pre-order page with deadlines

A pre-order offer with an order-by date, a ship date, a code and the gift boxes it covers, plus a note on when the next seasonal pre-orders open. Retailers commit early, and you plan production around confirmed quantities.

Chocolate & Confectionery — Collection Divider page

Collection divider for bonbons

Each chapter opens with a divider that sets out what the range is, how it ships and how long it keeps, such as boxes of 12, 16 and 25 with a four-week shelf life. Short facts like these head off questions before the product pages.

Tips

Selling chocolate to stockists: catalog essentials

Lead with cacao percentage and origin

Chocolate buyers and shoppers choose by percentage first and origin second. Put both large on every bar, add two or three tasting notes, and list the ingredients of dark bars, since a short ingredient list is a selling point in craft chocolate. A chart that orders the range by intensity helps people trade up.

Show wholesale price, MSRP and margin

Retailers check margin before taste. Many specialty shops expect to roughly double the wholesale price, so print the unit price, the case price and a suggested retail price together. If your MSRP leaves less than the usual margin, explain why, for example rare origins or hand-finished work.

Publish seasonal pre-order deadlines early

Shops plan holiday, Valentine's and Easter chocolate months ahead, and seasonal molds and boxes take time to produce. Give each season an order-by date and a ship date in the catalog, and offer a small incentive for early commitment so you can plan production and packaging.

Spell out warm-weather shipping

Chocolate melts and blooms in transit. State when you ship with insulated packaging and cold packs, which days you dispatch so parcels do not sit in a depot over a weekend, and whether you pause shipping in heat waves. Buyers in warm regions look for this before their first order.

Print shelf life by format

Solid bars keep for months, while fresh ganache bonbons may last only a few weeks. Give the shelf life for each format, print a batch date and a date label on every box, and advise first-in, first-out rotation. Shops that understand the difference order fresh lines in smaller, more frequent quantities.

FAQ

Questions about this template

Who is the Chocolate & Confectionery design kit made for?

Bean-to-bar makers, chocolatiers, confectioners and chocolate shops that sell to stockists, gift shops and corporate clients. The sample copy is a fictional Brooklyn maker's trade catalog, with chapters for single-origin bars, bonbons, drinking chocolate, tasting flights and gifting. Every page can be rewritten for a retail gift catalog or a holiday edition instead.

Can I show the wholesale price and a suggested retail price together?

Yes. The featured-product page already lays out unit price, case price and MSRP as editable text. On product pages, a Shopify import can print an MSRP stored in a metafield beside the wholesale price. Or keep the retail price as the product price and let the Discount & Tax tool show the trade price as the discount price next to it.

When do shops order chocolate for Valentine's Day and the holidays?

Earlier than most makers expect. Specialty retailers often confirm holiday chocolate in late summer and early fall, and Valentine's orders in late fall or early winter, with Easter following soon after. Put pre-order deadlines in your catalog and send it at least a month before each one so buyers have time to plan.

How many chocolate products should go on one catalog page?

Bars photograph well in grids of 3×3 or 4×4 with percentage and price, while gift boxes need larger 2×2 cards so buyers can see what is inside. Tasting flights and corporate sets suit a featured layout with a longer description. The kit's designed mosaic pages mix one large hero product with smaller items around it.
