About the Cosmetics Catalog template
This cosmetics catalog template is all about pigment. The front cover sets a giant condensed Fjalla One headline in magenta over circular crops of a lipstick, an open palette and a blush pot, then lines up eight named shade dots from blush to noir above a violet band. Kumbh Sans keeps the text clean on pale pink pages, chapter dividers turn solid magenta with vertical titles, and close-up photography of lipsticks and palettes fills all 15 pages.
The pages are built around drops and shade walls: every shade has its own SKU, trays hold six plus a tester, new drops open to stockists two weeks before launch, and a pre-order page offers 20 percent off with clear close and ship dates. A shade chart sorts reds by finish and undertone. Import shades from Shopify as variants, show them as variant tables on white product pages, and send the wholesale flipbook so stores can build a tray order online, or print it for trade fairs.

Pages worth a closer look

Shade dots on the front cover
Under the giant headline and three circular photo crops, eight colored dots name the shades in the range, from blush and coral to violet and noir. The cover doubles as a swatch card, so a buyer sees the palette before reading a word.

Get the look, product by product
Numbered dots on a close-up portrait mark the lips, cheeks and brows, and each number links to the product used, with SKU, trade price and suggested retail price. Stores can order the whole look, one tray each, and merchandise it together.

Reds sorted by finish and undertone
The shade chart lists each red with a swatch, finish, undertone and trade price, then explains which reds suit warm, neutral and cool undertones. Shop staff can use the same page at the counter to match a customer to a shade.

A drop pre-order on solid magenta
A full-page 20 percent sits on solid magenta with the pre-order close date, a ship date two weeks before launch and a note that testers come in every tray. It gives buyers a reason to commit before the drop goes public.

An editor's letter with three figures
A short letter about color worn on purpose sits beside a lipstick smear photo and a pull quote, followed by three figures for shades, weeks between drops and the six-plus-one tray. The page explains the brand in the time it takes to read a caption.
How to present a color cosmetics range to stockists
Photograph every shade the same way
Shade accuracy decides whether a lipstick sells and whether it comes back. Shoot swatches on one background under the same light, add swatches on several skin tones and skip filters. Buyers who order from photos will notice a shade that looks different in the tray.
Sort shades by undertone
Customers rarely remember shade names, but many know whether warm or cool colors suit them. Group shades by undertone and finish in a chart, as the sample does with its reds, so staff can steer customers quickly and stores can balance a wall across skin tones.
Sell in trays with a tester
A tray of six plus a tester is a common unit for color cosmetics, because it fits counter displays and keeps one unit open for trying. Set the order quantity to multiples of six, and let buyers mix shades within a tray when they reorder.
Open drop pre-orders weeks ahead
Stockists sell more of a new drop when it lands before launch day. Open pre-orders several weeks ahead, give firm close and ship dates, and support launch week with images stores can post. A late delivery turns a drop into leftover stock.
Keep compliance details at hand
Retailers may ask for ingredient lists, batch codes, shelf life and the safety documents their market requires. Say on the terms page what you can supply and put full ingredients on each product, so a buyer's approval process does not stall your first order.

Questions about this template
Can I show every shade of a product on one page?
Yes. Import shades as variants and print them as a variant table, or give each shade its own product with a color photo when you want swatches in the grid. Grids run from 2×2 to 4×5, product cards can show SKU, barcode and price, and the Discount & Tax tool can take a percentage or fixed amount off retail prices to show what stockists pay.
Which pages come with the Cosmetics Catalog template?
Fifteen. Three covers, the editor's letter and contents open the drop, and a magenta Lips chapter opener leads into the selling pages: a get-the-look portrait with three numbered products, six bestsellers, the 20 percent pre-order offer, ordering steps, terms of trade and a chart of the reds. A contributors masthead, a blank page for your own notes and a back cover announcing Drop 10 complete it. Each shade then appears on white product pages.
What is a drop in the beauty industry?
A drop is a limited release of new products or shades, announced in advance and sold for a short window or until stock runs out. Brands use drops to create urgency and keep a range fresh. For stockists, early access and fixed ship dates matter most, so a pre-order page should state both.
What information do stores need for each cosmetics shade?
Shade name and number, finish, undertone, a true-color swatch, SKU and barcode, tray quantity, tester policy, trade and suggested retail price, and shelf life. List full ingredients and vegan or cruelty-free status only where they are verified, because stores repeat these details to customers.
