About this template

About the Magazine Style template

This magazine catalog template borrows everything from a newsstand monthly: a red Abril Fatface masthead, cover lines with big numbers, a NEW roundel, a barcode and an issue number. Roboto Condensed handles the small print, warm beige pages carry the editorial spreads, and lacquer red picks out page numbers and prices. The photography is bold studio work, a model in denim on cobalt, painted faces on purple, a red lipstick in hand, spread across 15 pages with a contents page and a masthead.

Underneath, the issue works as a distributor's catalog. The cover lines advertise 120 new pieces, eight beauty brands and Net 30, the how-to page explains mixing labels on one invoice, and the shade index lists lipsticks by finish in trays of six plus a tester. Imported products from Shopify or a CSV land as white cards with a red price tag, name and SKU; add the vendor field so each label stands out. Share the wholesale flipbook for weekly reorders, or print copies for trade fairs.

Best for

  • Distributors and agencies selling several fashion or beauty labels on one invoice
  • Wholesalers who publish a new catalog issue every season
  • Beauty labels selling trays of six with testers to independent stores
  • Trade fair handouts that should read like a magazine, not a price list
  • Wholesalers courting new accounts with a first-order discount
Highlights

Pages worth a closer look

Magazine Style — Front cover page

A newsstand cover with working cover lines

A red masthead, an issue line and stacked figures for new pieces, beauty brands and payment terms turn the front cover into a summary of the offer. A red NEW roundel, a barcode and a three-line headline finish the newsstand look.

Magazine Style — Size / Spec Guide page

A shade index with color swatches

Each lipstick shade gets a color dot, a finish, the tray size and a trade price in a striped table, followed by short notes on satin and matte finishes and on testers. Buyers can pick shades for a tray without opening a single sample.

Magazine Style — Promo / Sale page

A first-order offer for new accounts

Three figures, 15 percent off a first order over $500, Net 30 for approved accounts and dispatch in three to five days, sit under a photo of gift boxes with a one-use-per-store note. The page is built to turn a curious store into an account.

Magazine Style — Contents page

A contents page that maps the labels

Five sections with red page numbers, from the cover story and beauty to fashion, accessories and an index of every SKU, sit beside a still life of compacts. The footer repeats the minimum order, Net 30 terms and the order email, so the key terms appear on page three.

Magazine Style — Featured Product page

The product that sold out

One lipstick gets a full page with a dramatic black photo, a sold-out headline, trade and suggested retail prices, shade count, finish and tray size. Give this page to whichever product gives buyers the most confidence in the range.

Tips

How to sell several labels in one wholesale catalog

Show the label on every product

When one catalog carries many brands, buyers sort by label first. Print the vendor name on each product card and group products by label within each category, so a store that already stocks one brand can find its reorders in seconds.

Keep one minimum across all labels

A single opening order and reorder minimum for the whole catalog is easier to sell than separate minimums per brand. Buyers can then test a few products from a new label without committing to its full range, and the catalog becomes a discovery tool.

Write cover lines that state the offer

Magazines put their strongest stories on the cover. Do the same with the numbers buyers care about, such as how many new pieces, how many brands, the payment terms or the dispatch time, so the cover works as a summary even for someone who never opens it.

Index every SKU at the back

A multi-label catalog needs a fast way to find things. End with an index of every SKU from A to Z, with page numbers, so reorders by phone or email go quickly. It also helps sales reps answer a buyer's question while still on the call.

Keep the online issue current

Print the issue once a season, but keep the online flipbook up to date as bestsellers sell out and restock, using Sync if your range lives in Shopify. Buyers who reorder every week care more about current availability than about a beautiful layout.

FAQ

Questions about this template

Does the Magazine Style template work for a single brand?

Yes. The issue format suits any brand that wants its catalog to feel like a magazine. Put your own name in the masthead, keep or remove the cover lines, and use the contents and index pages for categories instead of labels. Colors are editable, and you can choose from 112 Google Fonts plus 7 system fonts.

Which pages does the Magazine Style template include?

Fifteen, built like issue Nº 12 of a fashion monthly. A newsstand front, a purple band cover and a cover-lines poster come first, then the editor's letter, a contents page mapping five sections and a Beauty chapter opener. A sold-out lipstick feature, six bestsellers across labels, the first-order offer, ordering steps, terms and a lipstick shade index carry the selling, while a masthead, a notes page and a Nº 13 teaser close the issue. Products follow on beige pages.

What is a multi-brand wholesale catalog?

It is a single catalog presenting products from several labels, usually published by a distributor, agency or showroom. Buyers order from many brands on one order and one invoice, often with a shared minimum. Grouping by label, naming each vendor clearly and indexing SKUs keep a large range easy to use.

Why do some brands design their catalogs like magazines?

A magazine layout gives buyers a reason to read instead of scan. Cover lines, an editor's letter and story pages explain the season and how to sell it, while product pages and terms still handle the ordering. Stores also tend to keep a well-made issue on the desk for longer than a plain price list.
