About this template

About the Food & Beverage template

This gourmet food catalog template looks like a sunny market stall: tomato red and deep olive green on warm cream, rounded Corben headlines, Nunito Sans text and handwritten Kalam notes. Gingham trim, scalloped frames and round number badges run through seven covers, from a tomato-filled front cover with a from-price badge to a lemon-themed magazine issue, and twenty designed pages that include a tasting profile, a pack-size guide and a month-by-month harvest calendar, all with real market photography.

Producers of oils, pasta, preserves and sauces can use it as a wholesale list or a retail catalog. The sample shows trade prices and case sizes, but the same pages work with consumer prices and a retail flipbook that checks out at your Shopify store. Products arrive by collection import, CSV or a product feed and land on deep green product cards with red price tags, or on designed mosaics with featured items. Print it as an A4 or Letter PDF for a tasting table or a farm shop counter.

Best for

  • Olive oil, pasta and preserve producers selling to delis and fine-food shops
  • Specialty grocers mailing a seasonal catalog to regular customers
  • Importers of Mediterranean pantry goods presenting a new season's range
  • Farm kitchens and small-batch sauce makers with a family story to tell
  • Food festival and market-stall handouts that link to an online order form
Highlights

Pages worth a closer look

Food & Beverage — Featured Product page

Featured product with a tasting profile

A full page for a hero product such as a new-season olive oil: dot ratings for fruity, peppery and bitter, sizes, region, harvest month and pairings. It gives shop staff the words they need to hand-sell a premium line.

Food & Beverage — Size / Spec Guide page

Pack sizes and a harvest calendar

Jar and bottle sizes with case counts sit above a twelve-month grid showing when tomatoes, lemons, artichokes, peaches, figs and new oil are in season. Buyers can plan promotions and pre-orders around peak supply.

Food & Beverage — Care Instructions page

Storage and shelf-life guide

Short, friendly storage notes for oil, jams, dry pasta and raw honey, each with a shelf-life badge, plus a reminder that honey crystallizes naturally. Retailers can pass the advice on to shoppers and field fewer questions.

Food & Beverage — Cover · magazine page

Magazine-style cover issue

One cover is laid out like a food magazine, with a themed issue, a recipe count, cover lines and a barcode strip. It suits a seasonal edition, a recipe-led catalog or a holiday gift issue that customers keep on the kitchen counter.

Food & Beverage — Event / Launch page

Invitation page for a tasting lunch

An event page with date, time, place and the dishes on the table, ready for a producer open day, a new-season tasting or a launch lunch for your stockists. Add your own RSVP details and a short menu.

Tips

What shoppers want from a gourmet food catalog

Lead with origin and the people behind it

Specialty shoppers pay for provenance. Name the region, the farm or maker, and the harvest or batch date wherever you can. A one-line story about how a jam is cooked or when the olives are picked does more for a premium price than any adjective.

Give tasting notes and pairings

Shop staff sell what they can describe. For each hero product add two or three tasting words and one or two pairings, such as an oil with tomatoes and fresh pasta. Keep the vocabulary consistent across the catalog so customers learn to compare lines.

Publish a seasonal calendar

Many fine-food lines are seasonal: new-season olive oil arrives late in the year, citrus peaks in winter and tomato products follow the summer harvest. A calendar page tells buyers when to expect each line and when to pre-order, which keeps limited batches from selling out before your regular accounts order.

Tell shoppers how to store each product

Opened jars, oils and honey all behave differently. Short storage notes, such as keeping oil away from the stove or refrigerating jam after opening, reduce complaints and returns. If raw honey crystallizes, say that it is natural and how to soften it before someone asks for a refund.

Show jar sizes with a clear unit price

Gourmet products come in many sizes, from 125 g jams to 3-liter tins of oil. Show the net weight or volume on every card, and add a unit price where your market requires one, so shoppers can compare a small gift jar with the family size fairly.

FAQ

Questions about this template

Is the Food & Beverage design kit for retail or wholesale?

Either. The sample copy is a trade list with case sizes and terms, but every page is editable, so you can swap in consumer prices, a promo code and gift messaging. Share it as a retail flipbook that checks out at your Shopify store, or as a wholesale flipbook with an order form and a minimum order value.

Can I change the euro prices and the Italian sample text?

Yes. The family pantry, its farms and its prices are fictional placeholders. Replace the words on each page, set your catalog currency from the 28 available, and product prices come from your own store or file. Fonts, colors and photos can all be changed too, so the kit does not have to look Italian at all.

How do I write product descriptions for a gourmet food catalog?

Keep them short and concrete: what it is, where it comes from, how it tastes and what to eat it with. Two or three sentences per product is plenty on a grid page; save longer stories for a feature page. Include size, shelf life and allergens in a consistent order so buyers can scan quickly.

When should a specialty food brand send its holiday catalog?

Shops usually buy holiday stock months ahead, so trade catalogs for the season often go out in late summer or early fall. Consumer gift catalogs tend to land from late October through early December. If you sell to both, prepare the trade edition first and adapt the same pages for shoppers later.
