About this template

About the Food & Beverage Catalog template

This artisan food catalog template pairs warm white pages with honey yellow, amber and deep forest green, a citrus motif, sturdy Roboto Slab headings and clean Work Sans text. The covers announce a small-batch wholesale range with lead time and minimum order up front, plus an “Eat well.” poster. The feature page reads like a tasting card, with three numbered notes for a first-press olive oil, and a case guide lists sizes, cases and shelf life.

Food buyers judge a supplier on detail and reliability, and the pages are written for that: harvest dates, farm story cards, chilled and ambient shipping, and plain trade terms. Import pantry lines from Shopify with barcodes and prices, or upload a CSV, and they flow onto white product pages. Share the flipbook so delis can reorder between sales visits, or print the catalog for specialty food shows.

Best for

  • Honey, olive oil and preserve producers selling to delis and grocers
  • Small-batch pasta, granola and snack makers opening new stockists
  • Lemonade and soft drink brands with weekly chilled delivery runs
  • Farm shops and food hubs supplying cafés and gift retailers
  • Specialty food distributors grouping several farms in one catalog
Highlights

Pages worth a closer look

Food & Beverage Catalog — Featured Product page

Tasting-card feature page

The new-harvest olive oil page shows wholesale price beside suggested retail, three numbered tasting notes, case pack and shelf life. Use it for any product with a flavor story, from honey and coffee to cheese, vinegar or chocolate.

Food & Beverage Catalog — Size / Spec Guide page

Case guide with shelf life

A five-row table gives each product’s size, case quantity, shelf life and wholesale price, and sets the chilled lemonade apart from ambient goods. Grocery buyers check shelf life early, so having it in one table shortens the decision.

Food & Beverage Catalog — Promo / Sale page

Deli bundle with a counter crate

The promo page bundles one case each of honey, olive oil and pasta at 12% off, with a free wooden display crate. Cross-category bundles let a deli try your range in one go and give it a ready-made counter display.

Food & Beverage Catalog — Brand Story page

Farm story page

The brand story opens with forty olive trees and one beehive, follows with a short timeline, and includes the promise that every label names the farm. Shoppers ask where their food comes from, and this page hands retailers the answer.

Tips

What deli and grocery buyers expect from a food catalog

Put shelf life and storage on every line

Retail buyers plan stock rotation around best-before dates. Show total shelf life, the minimum life remaining on delivery, and storage needs (ambient, chilled or frozen) for each product. Chilled and short-life items need their own delivery days, minimums and lead times.

Include barcodes and case details

Grocers scan everything. Add the retail barcode for each unit, units per case, and case weight and dimensions, so a buyer can set the item up in their system without chasing a spec sheet. Mention pallet quantities if you supply distributors.

Make freight terms part of the offer

A free-freight threshold often shapes order size more than a small discount does. State it clearly next to the opening minimum, and keep chilled delivery charges separate so buyers of ambient goods are not put off by cold-chain costs.

Tell the origin story in one line

Specialty food sells on provenance: the farm, the harvest, the method, such as raw, cold-pressed or slow-dried. Give each product one line of story and offer shelf cards or recipe cards, which help staff hand-sell items shoppers cannot taste first.

Plan editions around harvests and gifting

New-harvest oil, spring honey and summer lemonade each have a moment. Flag new harvests on the cover or feature page, and send a short update by late summer, before delis put together holiday gift baskets and boxes.

FAQ

Questions about this template

Can I show barcodes, shelf life and case sizes in this food catalog?

Yes. Product pages can show barcode, SKU, price and description, and Shopify metafields can carry shelf life or case size. The case guide page is an editable table for formats, cases and shelf life, so buyers find the key facts in one place.

Can I offer delis a bundle deal or volume pricing?

Yes. Rewrite the deli bundle page with your own offer, then set up to three volume price tiers, a minimum order value and case multiples in the wholesale flipbook. The Discount & Tax tool adds percentage or fixed discounts and can show prices excluding VAT.

Do delis and grocers expect samples before stocking a new line?

Usually, yes. Most food buyers want to taste before they list a product, so offer a sample box or a tasting at a trade show and say so in the catalog. Pair samples with clear opening minimums and reorder terms so a good tasting turns into a first order.

How often should a food producer update its wholesale catalog?

At least once a season, and whenever a harvest, recipe, pack size or price changes. A main edition early in the year plus a short gifting update in late summer covers most needs. If you sell through Shopify, Sync refreshes prices, stock and photos before each new edition.
