About this template

About the Kids & Toys template

This wooden toy catalog template is pure playroom: confetti dots, stars and rainbow arcs scatter around real photos of beech stackers, rainbow arches, puzzles and plush, on a warm cream page with a coral red accent and royal blue. Corben gives headlines a rounded, storybook weight, Nunito keeps text easy to read and Kalam adds handwritten asides. Among its seven covers are a 'Wooden Wonders Issue' magazine front, a 'Let's play' poster and a sticker cover; 20 designed pages follow.

The sample copy, for a fictional family toy workshop, works for wholesale and gift buyers alike: age ranges, pack sizes, wholesale price beside suggested retail, a playtime sale and a paint-a-toy event. Import your toys and they fill designed product cards with a price badge on the photo, the toy's name and an age note (the line sheet adds the SKU), or use a mosaic layout to feature a hero toy. Print the PDF for toy fairs, or share a wholesale flipbook with the order form built in.

Best for

  • Wooden toy workshops selling to toy shops and gift stores
  • Makers of puzzles, stackers and craft kits with a playful brand
  • Plush and baby-toy brands that want a catalog parents enjoy browsing
  • Toy shops creating a holiday toy book for local families
  • Brands that run workshop events and seasonal toy sales
Highlights

Pages worth a closer look

Kids & Toys — Size / Spec Guide page

Age and stage guide

Columns for 0–12 months, 1–2 years, 3–5 and 6+ describe how children play at each stage, suggested toys, typical piece counts and a size rule for small parts. It helps parents and shop staff choose the right toy for each age.

Kids & Toys — Featured Product page

Toy of the season

One hero toy gets a big photo, wholesale and retail price, a playful description and an at-a-glance box with age, size, material, finish and pack quantity. It is the page that introduces a new design to buyers.

Kids & Toys — Care Instructions page

Care guide for wooden toys

Four steps, wipe, air-dry, oil and check, plus a never-ever list: no soaking, no dishwasher, no microwave and no sun. A care page reassures parents that solid wood toys last, and cuts down on avoidable damage claims.

Kids & Toys — Event / Launch page

Paint-a-toy party invitation

Date, time, place and a short invitation for stockists and their families to paint a toy and meet the makers. Workshop events give shops a story to share and bring buyers in to see your range in person.

Tips

Wooden toy catalog checklist: materials, ages and gifting

Name the wood and the finish

Buyers of wooden toys are paying for the material. State the wood species, whether it is solid wood or plywood, and the paint, oil or wax finish used. If finishes are water-based or food-safe, say so plainly, because parents of teething babies will ask.

Give every toy an age and a small-parts note

List the recommended age and flag anything with small parts or cords that is unsuitable for under-threes. Clear age labeling protects you, helps shops place toys in the right section and stops gift shoppers from buying something unsuitable.

Show scale with hands and rooms

Wooden toys look alike in a white-background photo. Add at least one picture per toy in use, on a playroom floor or in a child's hands, and print dimensions in centimeters or inches so buyers understand the size.

Plan for gifting seasons

Wooden toys sell strongly as birthday, baby-shower and holiday gifts. Offer gift-ready packaging, mention it on the product page, and get your holiday catalog to shops by late summer so they can order before the fourth quarter.

Explain your packaging

Shops and parents increasingly look at what toys arrive in. Describe plastic-free or recyclable packaging, box sizes and carton quantities. It answers questions at the counter and helps shops plan both shelf space and stockroom space.

FAQ

Questions about this template

What is in the Kids & Toys design kit?

Seven cover designs, 20 designed pages and designed product pages with mosaic layouts, with real photography. Inside you will find a welcome, contents, collection divider, playroom lookbook, toy of the season, brand story, a toy makers' team page, ordering steps, best sellers, a playtime sale, numbers, a paint-a-toy invitation, shop reviews, FAQ, an age and stage guide, wood care, contact, small print, a notes page and a back cover.

Can this toy catalog serve both retail customers and wholesale buyers?

Yes. The sample copy mixes wholesale details with a family-friendly design, so it adapts either way. For shops, share a wholesale flipbook with an order form and minimums. For families, show retail prices and share a showcase flipbook, or a retail flipbook that checks out at Shopify.

How do I photograph wooden toys for a catalog?

Use soft daylight to keep paint colors true, shoot each toy on a plain background for product pages, then add a few styled shots in use for the lookbook. Capture the wood grain close up. In EasyCatalog you can replace any template photo or search free stock photos.

Which safety details belong in a toy catalog?

At minimum, an age grade for each toy, warnings for small parts, cords or magnets, and the materials and finishes used. Note which safety testing your toys have passed for the markets you sell in and that certificates are available on request. Keep the wording identical to your packaging.
