About this template

About the Modern Catalog template

This modern catalog template is built from primary-color geometry. The front cover splits into a grid: a cobalt block with the title, a yellow block with a black-ringed year and a dot, and two photos of wooden chairs. Bold Poppins type, a cobalt poster with a circular photo and the word “Modern.”, yellow quarter-circles in the corners of the text pages and blue prices carry the shapes inside.

Furniture buyers need to see pieces in a room, check sizes and understand freight before they order, and the sample pages for a fictional flat-pack brand answer each: a room-set lookbook, a feature page with dimensions, flat-pack freight terms and a half-price showroom sample program. Import your range by collection or from a product feed; variant tables can show finishes and sizes. Send the wholesale flipbook to retailers, and print the PDF for showroom visits and trade fairs.

Best for

  • Modern furniture and lighting brands selling to retailers and interior shops
  • Flat-pack makers who need to explain freight and assembly up front
  • Showroom sample programs and trade-only display offers
  • Design brands that want a bold, graphic catalog instead of a muted one
  • Contract and hospitality furniture suppliers presenting room sets
Highlights

Pages worth a closer look

Modern Catalog — Front cover page

Color-block cover in cobalt and yellow

The cover is a four-part grid of cobalt, yellow and photography, with the title in white on blue and the year inside a black ring. It sets a confident tone for a trade catalog, and the blocks can be recolored to your own brand colors.

Modern Catalog — Featured Product page

Feature page with size and price

A tall photo of a wooden sideboard sits beside its name, a short description, the trade price in blue, MSRP and a spec table with SKU, pack and size in centimeters. Two related pieces appear below under “Also in this range.”

Showroom sample program

A cobalt page with a huge 50% offers display samples at half the trade price with an opening order, up to six pieces per showroom and a seasonal swap at cost. Adapt it to whatever display support you give retailers.

Room sets lookbook

Living, kitchen and dining photos show the pieces together in real rooms. Buyers use room sets to plan floor displays and judge scale, which a product photo on a plain background cannot show.

Tips

What furniture trade buyers need from a modern catalog

Give two sets of dimensions

List assembled dimensions in centimeters and inches, plus carton size and weight for every piece that ships flat or boxed. Retailers plan floor space with the first and freight and storage with the second. Add seat height and depth for chairs and sofas, and table height for dining.

Show materials and finishes up close

Name the wood species, whether it is solid or veneer, the fabric composition and the finish for each piece, and show a close-up photo or a swatch. Retailers who sell to interior designers get asked about these first, and clear answers prevent returns.

Be specific about lead times and freight

State which pieces ship from stock, which are made to order and how long each takes. Explain freight: pallet or parcel, curbside or room-of-choice delivery, and the order value for free shipping. A buyer who cannot estimate landed cost often postpones the order.

Support the showroom floor

Retailers commit more readily when they can display pieces. Offer floor samples at a discount, swatch kits and room-set images they can use in store and online. Spell out the terms: how many samples, at what price and how often they can be swapped.

FAQ

Questions about this template

Which pages are in the Modern Catalog template?

It has fifteen: a color-block cover, a band cover with a sofa photo and contents, a cobalt “Modern.” poster, a design director's welcome with three figures, contents, a tables divider, a featured sideboard with specs, showroom favorites, a showroom sample offer, how to order, trade terms, contact, a framed blank page, a back cover and a room-sets lookbook.

Can I use the Modern Catalog for products other than furniture?

Yes. Rename the five sections, replace the photos and import your own products; the cobalt-and-yellow geometry works for lighting, homewares, tech accessories or a design store. If cobalt does not suit your brand, recolor the blocks and keep the layout, which is what gives the catalog its modern feel.

What size should a furniture trade catalog be printed at?

A4 or US Letter suits most trade catalogs; landscape gives room-set photos more width, while portrait works well for product grids. For a print shop, export a CMYK PDF at 300 DPI with 3 mm or 5 mm bleed and crop marks, all of which are options in EasyCatalog's PDF export.

How many furniture pieces should one catalog page show?

One to four for large pieces such as sofas, beds and sideboards, so buyers can see details and read specs. Chairs, lamps and accessories fit a 3×3 grid. Put room-set pages between product pages to show how the pieces work together.
