About this template

About the Cycling Premium template

This premium bike catalog template reads like a route card. The contents page lists five stages under The Route, kilometer markers run down the front cover, and the trade-day invitation carries a climb profile of a 42 km test loop. Plum and signal orange sit on warm paper with a chainring motif and condensed Unica One capitals. Real photography, including a gravel lookbook, fills seven covers and twenty designed pages.

The sample copy is written for a UK trade supplier, so prices appear ex VAT with RRP alongside, and every section lists SKU and case pack. That suits distributors, bike brands and parts wholesalers who sell to independent shops. Import your range by collection or CSV and complete bikes, cranks and helmets drop onto white product pages under an orange section band, each with photo, SKU, type, name, a short spec line and price. Print it for a dealer meeting or send a flipbook link.

Best for

  • Cycle distributors supplying independent bike shops
  • Bike brands presenting complete bikes alongside parts and accessories
  • Component and wheel wholesalers with large, spec-heavy ranges
  • UK and EU suppliers who quote trade prices ex VAT with RRP
  • Sales teams preparing for a pre-season trade day or dealer show
Highlights

Pages worth a closer look

Cycling Premium — Size / Spec Guide page

Frame size and tire width guide

A chart that maps rider height in centimeters and feet to frame sizes from XS up, with inseam ranges, plus a tire width guide. Shops can use it at the counter, which keeps your catalog open on the bench.

Cycling Premium — Care Instructions page

Service intervals to pass on

A kilometer scale from 0 to 5,000 sets out when to clean and lube the chain, check wear, swap pads and cables, refresh the drivetrain and book a full service. Shops can pass it to customers and fill their workshop diary.

Cycling Premium — Promo / Sale page

Drivetrain Week trade offer

A dated trade promotion with an extra percentage off chains, cassettes, cranks and derailleurs above an order value, plus a code and the exclusions in small print. Swap in your own category, dates and threshold for any trade push.

Cycling Premium — By the Numbers page

By-the-numbers page for stockists

Lines in stock, dispatch time, shops supplied, the share of order lines shipped complete and an average stockist rating, set as big numbers. Replace them with your own figures to show a new shop what working with you looks like.

Tips

What bike shops look for in a trade catalog

List the compatibility details mechanics check first

For components, a price is not enough. Give speed count, axle and freehub standard, brake mount, bottom bracket type, tire clearance and whether wheels are tubeless-ready. A mechanic who can confirm fit from the page orders without calling, and fewer parts come back as wrong.

Show trade price, RRP and margin side by side

Independent shops judge a line by its margin. Put the trade price and RRP next to each other on every product, state whether prices include VAT, and keep case packs visible. If you sell across borders, set the catalog currency for each market rather than asking buyers to convert.

Give complete bikes their own spec block

Buyers compare complete bikes on frame material, groupset level, gearing, tire size, weight and size range. Keep the specs in the same order on every bike so the pages scan like a table, and say how bikes ship, for example 90% built in a box, so shops can plan workshop time.

Time the catalog to the booking season

Shops plan spring stock over the winter, when the workshop is quieter. A catalog that lands in the fall with pre-season pricing and spring delivery dates gives them time to budget. Follow it with a slimmer reorder edition when the riding season starts.

Picture parts the way mechanics recognize them

Shoot components on a plain background from the angle that shows mounting points, and add a close-up of the interface, such as the freehub body or brake mount. Mechanics often recognize a part by these details before its name, and clear photos cut wrong-fit orders.

FAQ

Questions about this template

Can I show trade prices ex VAT and switch currencies?

Yes. The Discount & Tax tool can show prices ex VAT, apply a percentage or fixed trade discount, or use a currency multiplier, and you can choose from 28 catalog currencies. That lets a UK supplier quote pounds ex VAT for home shops and publish a separate edition in euros or dollars for export accounts.

Can I print the bike catalog for a trade show or a dealer mailing?

Yes. Print shops usually ask for CMYK and bleed, and the PDF export covers both: the CMYK Print professional option at up to 300 DPI, plus 3 mm or 5 mm bleed with crop marks. A4, Letter and A5 work in portrait or landscape, and a catalog can run to 500 pages, enough for a full parts range.

What specs should a bike parts catalog list for each component?

At a minimum: SKU, compatibility (speeds, standards and mounts), sizes or dimensions, weight, material, color, and the trade and retail price. For wheels and tires add width, valve type and whether they are tubeless-ready; for cranks, crank length and chainring range. Keeping specs in the same order on every page lets mechanics compare lines quickly.

Should a cycling trade catalog include complete bikes and parts together?

It can, if each part of the range is easy to find. Put complete bikes first with full specs and size runs, then components grouped by system, then wheels, cockpit, helmets and workshop tools. Section dividers and a clear contents page let a parts buyer skip straight to the drivetrain without paging through bikes.
