About the End of Year Sale template
The end of year sale catalog celebrates and clears at the same time. Its front cover pairs a confetti photo with the year in giant gold numerals on a black page, the sale title set across them in Playfair Display and a gold ring sticker with the discount. The poster cover stacks OUT WITH THE OLD STOCK in four lines. Montserrat body text, Courier Prime labels, cream inside pages and borderless product tiles with a markdown sticker keep the furniture photography in front.
It is written for suppliers whose trade customers plan around year-end deadlines, from interior designers to retailers and hotel buyers. The pages give the last date for Christmas delivery, the day the books close, a minimum order and a bonus for large orders confirmed by mid-December, and the lot notes record marks and ex-display wear piece by piece. Import floor stock from a Shopify collection or a CSV file, add dimensions in each description, and send the flipbook or a printed copy.

Pages worth a closer look

The year in giant gold numerals
Under a confetti photo, the year fills the black cover in gold, with the sale title set across it and a ring sticker showing the discount. Facts underneath give the markdown, the minimum order and the date the books close.

Christmas delivery cutoff and books-close date
Three dates do the planning for buyers: the sale opens on December 1, the last date for Christmas delivery falls on the 15th, and the books close at noon on the 31st. Edit the days to match your own carriers.

A condition note on every lot
The terms open with showroom and overstock pieces whose marks or ex-display wear are noted lot by lot, then cover minimums, payment and free freight above a set order value. Honest condition notes make floor stock easier to sell unseen.

A signed note with a hold option
The welcome page is a signed note from the co-founder explaining the year-end clear-out: showroom pieces, discontinued finishes and overstock, delivered before the new year or held until January. A facts panel repeats the discount, minimum order and closing date.
How to sell showroom and floor stock at year-end
Photograph the actual piece
Floor stock is not identical to new stock, so show the piece being sold rather than a studio shot of a new one, and describe any mark in the text. Use Replace photo on the product image. Buyers who see a flaw in advance are far less likely to dispute it on delivery.
Give dimensions and access sizes
List width, depth and height for every piece, plus seat height for chairs and the packed size of anything that ships in a carton. Designers check whether a sofa fits through a doorway or up a staircase before committing, and clearance pieces are a bad place for returns.
Name the finish and the fabric
A discontinued finish is often the reason a piece is on sale, so name the finish, the wood and the fabric on each lot. A designer may still want the piece if the finish matches a client's room, and will skip it quickly if it does not, which saves both sides a call.
Set a delivery cutoff and a holding option
Carriers and installers book up in December. Give a last order date for delivery before the holidays and offer to hold paid pieces until January, as the template does. Buyers who cannot take delivery in December will still order if the piece is reserved for them.
Use the year-end deadline honestly
Many businesses clear aged stock before their year-end count so it does not sit on the books, and trade buyers know it. Saying so plainly, as the co-founder's note does, makes the discount believable and gives buyers a real reason to order before the 31st.

Questions about this template
Is the end of year sale template free to use?
Yes. Choosing it adds nothing to your bill: the template comes with every plan, the $0 Free plan included, and Free asks for no card. On Free, catalogs carry a small watermark. A Shopify store may build one catalog in the grid editor plus one in the Basic editor, while an account without Shopify gets a single catalog of no more than five pages, room for a cover, the lot list and a few pages of floor stock. Upgrading later starts with Basic at $19.99 a month.
Can buyers reserve a piece and have it held until January?
Yes. The covers and the welcome note already offer delivery in December or holding until January, and the how-to-order page explains the 48-hour reservation hold while you confirm stock. Edit those terms to suit your warehouse. Buyers send the order through the wholesale flipbook's built-in form, which reaches you by email and in the app, and you confirm the delivery or holding date when you reply.
Why do suppliers hold an end of year sale?
To reduce stock before the year-end inventory count, free showroom space for new collections and bring in cash before the new year. December also suits trade buyers: designers are closing out projects and some businesses spend what is left of their annual budget, so a well-timed sale finds people ready to order.
How should ex-display furniture be priced?
Start from the trade price and discount by condition: pieces with no visible wear keep more of their value than pieces with marks, fading or missing parts. Many suppliers use simple grades, such as A for as new and B for minor marks, and print the grade with each lot. Freight and assembly cost the same either way, so mention them.
