About this template

About the Outdoor & Adventure template

Styled as an expedition field journal, this outdoor adventure catalog template sets Oswald capitals, Source Serif text and Courier Prime log entries on stone-colored pages with forest-black type, slanted burnt-orange tags and photos cut on the diagonal. The seven covers range from a 1:25,000 map sheet with a legend to a magazine issue about the dawn patrol, and the contents page is a route card with stages, distance and elevation gain. Lookbook captions read like figure numbers in a field report. Names and prices belong to a made-up Norwegian outfitter.

With 20 designed pages plus designed product pages and mosaic layouts, it carries a brand's whole season: story, field crew, best sellers, a sale week, a base camp weekend, a boot fit guide, gear care and terms. Import packs, boots, tents and rope from Shopify or a product feed, and they fill stone-colored product pages or mosaics with a featured item. Share a retail flipbook that checks out at Shopify, a wholesale flipbook for dealers, or a print-ready PDF.

Best for

  • Outdoor brands with tents, packs, boots and climbing gear in one range
  • Expedition outfitters selling to dealers and direct to customers
  • Fall and winter field catalogs with a sale week and a launch weekend
  • Footwear lines that need EU, UK and US boot sizes on one chart
  • Brands with a repair service or long warranty to talk about
Highlights

Pages worth a closer look

Outdoor & Adventure — Contents page

Route-card contents

Five stages, from tents and shelter to rope and climb, sit along an elevation profile with distance and height gain, each with its page number. It sets the tone for the catalog and helps readers find a section fast.

Outdoor & Adventure — Size / Spec Guide page

Boot fit guide across four size systems

A sizing table converts EU, UK, US men's and US women's boot sizes with foot length in centimeters, and opens with practical advice: measure feet in the afternoon, wearing the socks you hike in.

Outdoor & Adventure — By the Numbers page

Field data in big numbers

Four large figures, kilometers walked in each boot, nights slept in each tent, the weight of the lightest two-person shelter and the frame warranty, turn testing into facts customers remember. Swap in your own numbers.

Outdoor & Adventure — Event / Launch page

Base camp weekend invite

An invitation styled as a permit lists dates, meeting point, grade and elevation, with designer gear demos, a dawn ridge walk and an open repair bench. Use it for a launch, a demo day or a dealer weekend.

Tips

What to include in an outdoor adventure catalog

Publish weights and volumes in plain numbers

Outdoor customers compare gear by grams and liters before anything else. Give packed weight, volume and key dimensions for every product in the same units throughout, and show metric and imperial side by side if you sell in several countries, since conversions are where many sizing questions start.

Explain what keeps the weather out

Name the materials and construction: a waterproof membrane, waxed or coated fabric, taped seams, a hydrostatic head figure for tents. Customers trust specifics over adjectives, and dealers need the same facts to answer questions on the shop floor.

Give boots a proper fit guide

Many boot returns come down to fit. Include a size table across EU, UK and US sizes with foot length, and add fitting advice: measure late in the day, wear hiking socks and leave about a thumb's width at the toe. Note whether a model runs narrow or wide.

Show repairs, warranty and care

Outdoor buyers want to know how long gear will last. A page on cleaning, drying and re-proofing, plus your warranty and repair terms, answers that question and supports full-price sales. If you resole boots or repair tents, mention it on the product pages too.

Time each edition to the shoulder seasons

Plan the fall and winter catalog for late summer, when people start planning cold-weather trips, and the spring catalog for late winter. Put a sale or event page with firm dates in each edition, so readers have a reason to act now rather than later.

FAQ

Questions about this template

What do I get with the Outdoor & Adventure design kit?

Seven cover designs, 20 designed pages and designed product pages with mosaic layouts. Among the pages: a log-style welcome, route-card contents, a field-notes lookbook, a featured boot with specifications, the founder's story, field crew profiles, a sale, field data, a base camp weekend, a fit guide, gear care, terms and a back cover.

Can I use this outdoor catalog for both dealers and shoppers?

Yes. The sample text addresses dealers, but every line can be rewritten for retail. Share a retail flipbook that sends shoppers to Shopify checkout, or a wholesale flipbook with a built-in order form and minimums for dealers. Each link comes with a QR code and can be password-protected.

How long should an outdoor gear catalog be?

There is no fixed rule. A focused brand can tell its story in 24 to 40 pages: a few pages of photography and brand story, product sections by activity, then fit guides, care and terms. Larger ranges can add pages freely, since EasyCatalog handles up to 500 pages per catalog.

Which photos suit an outdoor adventure catalog?

Mix clean product shots for the product pages with photos of gear in use, in weather, on real terrain. Location photos sell the trip, while product shots answer questions about straps, soles and zips. Short captions with place and time make them feel like field notes rather than ads.
