About the Summer Clearance template
This summer clearance catalog has the feel of a holiday scrapbook. The front cover is a beach snapshot taped on at an angle, a yellow sun burst with the discount, a heavy SUMMER CLEARANCE headline in teal and coral and a handwritten note set in Amatic SC. The poster cover draws a striped sun setting into the sea. Rubik carries headlines and text on warm cream pages, and the product pages use borderless tiles with a coral price sticker on each photo.
Use it to clear seasonal stock while retailers still have warm weeks left to sell it. The pages state what beauty buyers check first: shelf life remaining, testers listed separately, case packs and the minimum order, plus a bonus code for larger orders placed before August 1. Bring products in from Shopify or a CSV file with shade names in the variants, then share the wholesale flipbook with its order form or print the PDF for your sales reps.

Pages worth a closer look

Taped snapshot with a sun sticker
A photo taped on at a slight angle, a yellow sun burst with the discount, the headline and a handwritten note give the cover a relaxed summer look. Facts along the bottom show the discount, the minimum order and the last order date.

Striped sun poster cover
A striped sun sinks into the sea behind the discount, with the offer, the brand and contact details below. Use it as the first page of the flipbook or print it for a stand at a summer trade event.

Shelf-life and tester terms
The terms open with sealed retail units, at least 18 months of shelf life and testers listed separately, then cover minimums, payment and freight. For cosmetics, those first lines answer the questions beauty buyers raise before anything else.

A timeline that adds gift sets mid-sale
Three dates run the sale: the clearance opens, gift sets join it two weeks later, and final orders close in mid-August. Adding a new lot partway through gives you a good reason to email every buyer again.
How to clear summer beauty stock to retailers
Lead with shelf life
Retailers will not take sun care or skincare they cannot sell before it expires. Give the months of shelf life left for each lot, or the expiry month, and keep anything short-dated in its own lot at a lower price. Long-dated clearance stock can then sit beside full-price stock without a sticker.
Close the sun care clearance by mid-August
In most markets sun care sells hardest from late spring to early August. A clearance that closes in mid-August lets stores sell through in the last warm weeks; after that, the stock waits on a shelf until next year. Resort, travel and warm-climate shops are the exception and often buy later.
Name every shade and say where the testers are
For color cosmetics, give each shade name in the variants and say whether testers come in the case or are sold separately. A lip trio in three unnamed shades is hard to place on a counter, while a named shade with a tester is easy to merchandise.
Turn leftovers into gift sets
Summer minis, travel sizes and slow shades can be repacked as gift sets that keep selling after the season ends. Adding them to the clearance later in the sale, as the template's timeline does in early August, clears stock and gives buyers something ready for the year-end holidays.
Reward the early, larger order
A bonus for orders above a set value placed before a cut-off, like the sample's 10% off orders over $600 before August 1, brings in bigger orders at the start, while every shade is still in stock. Put the code on the promo page and the back cover so it is easy to find.

Questions about this template
Can I use the summer clearance template for products other than beauty?
Yes. The beauty products, prices and brand are placeholder text. Swap the photos with Replace photo or the free stock photos, rename the sections, and import garden furniture, swimwear, outdoor toys or any summer range. The shelf-life lines on the terms page can be rewritten as warranty, condition or packaging notes.
How do buyers order from the summer clearance flipbook?
Share the catalog as a wholesale flipbook. Buyers browse, enter quantities in the built-in order form and send it, and the order reaches you by email and in the app. You can set a minimum order value, case-pack multiples and up to three volume price tiers, and protect the link with a password so only trade accounts see it.
When should a summer clearance sale start?
Many brands open their summer clearance in July, once the peak weeks are underway and next season's orders are confirmed. Opening in mid to late July and closing by mid-August leaves retailers enough summer to sell what they buy. Later than that, buyers expect deeper discounts and place smaller orders.
How much shelf life should clearance cosmetics have left?
Enough for the retailer to sell the product and for the shopper to use it, so many buyers set a minimum of around 12 months remaining. Sun care deserves extra care because it is used over a whole season. Give remaining shelf life lot by lot rather than one line for the whole catalog.
