About this template

About the Textiles & Fabrics Premium template

This fabric catalog template reads like a mill's cloth book. A tall serif wordmark in mulberry sits above close-up photos of corduroy, linen and denim, pinking-shear edges trim the pictures, and small weave diagrams for plain weave, twill, herringbone, rib and satin appear on the covers and spec pages. Colorway chips in mulberry, mink, oat and ink carry the palette, while Libre Baskerville, PT Sans and mono spec labels give every page the look of a piece ticket.

It is made for selling cloth to people who cut it: upholsterers, curtain and blind makers, and clothing labels. The ordering pages walk buyers through free swatch cards, dye-lot holds, cut lengths and full pieces, and the specification page puts width, gsm, composition, rub count and minimum cut into one table. Import your cloths with prices per meter and they flow onto white product pages, ready to print and post with swatch cards or share as a flipbook with a trade order form.

Best for

  • Weaving mills and converters selling cloth by the meter or the piece
  • Upholstery and drapery fabric wholesalers supplying workrooms
  • Apparel fabric merchants selling cut lengths to clothing labels
  • Fabric agents presenting a seasonal colorway collection with swatch cards
  • Linen, wool and denim specialists who need a printed spec sheet

Textiles & Fabrics Premium — Size / Spec Guide page

Cloth specification table

Your stock cloths on one table: reference, composition, usable width, weight in gsm, rub-test cycles, minimum cut and price per meter, headed by small weave diagrams, with swatch cards and a guide to working out meters for curtains and chairs below. Upholsterers and specifiers can shortlist cloths without calling your trade desk.

Textiles & Fabrics Premium — How to Order page

Swatch, reserve, cut, dispatch

Four steps that match how cloth is really bought: request free swatch cards, hold a dye lot for two weeks, order a cut length or a full piece, then receive it rolled on a tube, never folded. The page sets expectations before the first order.

Textiles & Fabrics Premium — Notes / Terms page

Piece ticket and trade terms

The terms page opens with a sample piece ticket listing piece number, cloth, color, dye lot, length and width, and asks buyers to quote the dye lot when they reorder. Prices, cuts, pieces and payment follow in plain numbered notes.

Textiles & Fabrics Premium — Featured Product page

Featured cloth with a full spec panel

One cloth fills the page: a large photo, a price per meter for cut lengths and a lower piece price, plus composition, width, weight, wale and rub test. Use it to launch a new weave or a heavier upholstery quality.

Tips

What trade buyers need from a fabric catalog

Publish usable width, weight and composition

Workrooms calculate yardage from usable width, not the full roll width, and choose cloth by weight in gsm or ounces. List both with the exact fiber blend for every quality, and add the abrasion rub-test figure for any cloth you sell for upholstery.

Explain your dye-lot policy

Color can shift between dye lots, and a curtain maker cannot mix two lots in one room. Say how long you hold a lot, how buyers quote it on reorders and what happens when a lot runs out. A clear policy prevents most color complaints before they start.

Put the swatch service up front

Most cloth is chosen in the hand. Say how many free swatch cards a buyer can request, how fast they are posted and how to ask for them. Trade buyers often order swatches for a client first and come back for the cut length a week later.

Separate cut-length and piece prices

Cut lengths cost more per meter than full pieces because of cutting time and short ends. Show the minimum cut, the cut-length price and the piece price side by side, and flag cloths with a higher minimum, such as velvet or sheer voile, so the order form holds no surprises.

Add care advice for each fiber family

Workrooms pass care advice on to their clients. Give each family a wash or cleaning method, a drying note and any shrinkage to expect, since linen often relaxes a few percent on its first wash, so curtains and covers are cut with that in mind.

FAQ

Questions about this template

Which pages come with the Textiles & Fabrics Premium template?

Seven covers, from a denim poster with a piece ticket to a cloth quarterly magazine, plus 20 designed pages: welcome, contents, section divider, color lookbook, featured cloth, mill story, team, how to order, best sellers, piece-week promo, stats, open mill day invitation, testimonials, FAQ, specification table, care guide, contact, terms with a piece ticket, framed notes and back cover.

Can I show fabric prices per meter or per yard?

Yes. Prices come from your product data, so the unit goes in the cloth's title or description, such as per meter or per yard. The Discount & Tax tool can show ex-VAT prices or convert with a currency multiplier, and the fabric catalog can be set in any of 28 currencies.

What information should a fabric spec sheet include?

At minimum: reference number, cloth name, colorway, fiber composition, usable width, weight in gsm or ounces, weave, rub-test result for upholstery, care method and price per meter or yard. Contract buyers also ask about flame retardancy, so list any fire tests your cloth has passed.

Should a fabric catalog give every colorway its own product?

For stock cloths with many colorways, show one product per cloth with its colors in a variant table, then give the best-selling colors their own photo cards. That keeps a range of several hundred colorways readable without pages of near-identical swatches.
